I was having a conversation my mentor tonight and he shared with me his story of how he became successful and the people you meet along your road to success. He worked for an accounting firm and also he worked in a law firm as a law clerk and one of the salesmen noticed his work ethic. The guy was starting his own telephone company and wanted my mentor to come and work for him. He took his offer and they became great friends. Bob the salesman showed him how to sail, how to get his suits Taylor made, introduced him to a whole new side of life. After 6 years together and 27 million dollars later they sold the company to MCI for 71 million and my mentor had 3% ownership in the company. So he made $2,130,000 and decided to go in business for himself as an accounting professional. Today he owns a few properties, owns a day care and still has his accounting practice and more. I am on my road to success and now he has opened the door for me to learn from him and build my business. With such an amazing history it was good for me to hear about his struggles too. I am glad to know him and appreciate how he has mentored me during my time of transition. It's a blessing to meet good people that come into your life to help you grow as a person or help boost you to the next level. It's not many business owners out here that are reaching back and I am so thankful that I have been given an opportunity to take my passion to the next level. I hope this will inspire you to reach back or lend a helping hand.

So I am a banker so part of my job is to help people make decisions regarding their finances. Many times my branch will have events scheduled where we go to organizations and try to talk to people about our products and services. One of the several characteristics that separates me from others is, I have a PASSION for educating people about the importance of being bankable as well as informing others on how to manage their money. I am an advocate for Financial Literacy and talking to the parents at the school truly opened my eyes to see how much of a need this is. So I had a table with the bank name, we had some giveaways like popular character stickers for the kids, some fake tattoos and eco friendly bags. My company was the only bank there but the other businesses were Tutoring Services at least 5 - 6 different ones. W...
